Climate Grant Advance

Pvilion partners with Enduring Planet to reduce dependence on diesel generators

$20M Grant proposal pipeline
$500K Grant advance
28 Tons CO2 saved per install

Solar made beautiful

Pvilion is at the forefront of solar fabric technology, integrating solar cells with fabric and building fabric products that generate electricity.

Their products range from stand-alone solar canopies, to solar military tents, grid-tied long span structures, solar powered charging stations, solar powered curtains, building facades, backpacks and clothing. They design, engineer, and manufacture deployable power systems including robotic tents, solar, battery systems, and microgrids.

Pvilion products dramatically reduce (or eliminate) fuel consumption in remote locations by eliminating generator use. A typical installation saves 2,475 gallons of diesel or 28 tons of CO2 emissions per month.

Pvilion contributes to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 7 (Affordable and clean energy) and 13 (Climate action).

Fast and flexible capital for small businesses that work with the federal government

Pvilion works with a number of federal agencies which only pay invoices once products are delivered, and often on net90 terms (i.e. 90 days after the invoice). Fronting the capital needed to execute on these grant contracts was a real challenge.

Traditional financial institutions don't address this need so Enduring Planet's climate grant advance was a welcomed option.  Pvilion is using the capital for the execution of their SBIR Phase III, continuing to pay engineers, materials, fabricators, and overhead. This capital influx allowed the business to run smoothly and ensure that vendors are paid on time.

In addition with this capital infusion, the Pvilion team has been able to shift more focus to selling, building a grant pipeline for product proposals upwards of $20M.

The process from first meeting to close was incredibly fast and easy. When compared to a simple line of credit with a large financial institution, the diligence is 10 times faster. EP understands that speed to deploying capital is a necessity for small businesses.
