Mallinda partners with Enduring Planet to enable recycling where it was previously impossible

Mallinda produces resins and composites for the circular economy. Specifically, Mallinda commercializes vitrimer resins which replace non-recyclable thermoset polymers in composite material applications such as sporting goods and automotive.

Mallinda created VITRIMAX™ to revolutionize how we think about and use composite materials. Developed to break the 20th century paradigm of plastics, products made with vitrimers can be reincarnated as the same product, or as a new iteration, over and over again. There is no end of life, only an ongoing cycle of usage opportunities.

Mallinda's innovation enables recycling and circularity in applications where it was previously impossible, displacing CO2 intensive production of virgin materials. For instance, if Mallinda vitrimers were broadly adopted in wind blades, the lifetime CO2 footprint of the blades would be decreased by >50%.

Mallinda contributes to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 9 (Industry, innovation and infrastructure), 12 (Responsible consumption and production) and 13 (Climate action).
