Climate Grant Advance

Impossible Sensing partners with Enduring Planet to apply space tech to climate

Impossible Sensing is a space technology company dedicated to creating innovative solutions for some of the toughest challenges facing humankind. The leadership team includes experienced scientists, engineers, and researchers. Drawing from their experience in space exploration, they are creating proprietary sensing technology to help mitigate and reverse climate change.

Today, the Impossible Sensing team works with ocean scientists, NASA, BOEM, and other agencies to find sustainable ways to recover critical marine minerals to power the green economy. They are also developing new sensors for precision agriculture and soil analytics, together with the Department of Energy, adding value to carbon markets and creating economic drivers to push ag to capture and store carbon.

Impossible Sensing contributes to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and 13 (Climate action).

Impossible Sensing partnered with Enduring Planet to:

  • Hire engineers
  • Further optimize product design

Maintaining momentum without cash flow stress

Government grants are an amazing way to mature new, cutting-edge technologies, but funding timelines generally move more slowly than new markets demand. Enduring Planet's advance program gave Impossible Sensing the ability to fast-track their project at lightning speed, allowing them to move towards a market-ready solution far faster than the grant cycle funding would allow.

Impossible Sensing was drawn to the easy process for applying and securing Enduring Planet's non-dilutive funding, as well as the repayment structure and terms behind the Grant Advance. They also loved that Enduring Planet's mission resonated to strongly with their own; value alignment was key for this partnership.

Truly the most headache-free funding experience I have ever had.
