DexMat partners with Enduring Planet to develop low-emission metals alternative
We cannot have an energy transition without a materials transition. Today, steel, aluminum, and copper make up approximately 12% of global energy use and 8% of global emissions and associated mining activities have significant adverse effects on the environment. DexMat produces the carbon nanomaterial Galvorn, a stronger than steel, lighter than aluminum, electrically and thermally conductive, flexible, corrosion-resistant, non-toxic, and recyclable material for industrial use. Galvorn is made entirely of carbon — with the potential to be sourced from hydrocarbons, renewable fuels, and captured carbon — and, at scale, it can be produced sustainably and at a lower cost than traditional industrial inputs.
By displacing steel, aluminum, and copper with high-performance Galvorn Dexmat can help to achieve a carbon-negative impact of over one gigaton of CO₂ per year.
Dexmat partnered with Enduring Planet to:
- Execute key grant-funded projects without slowing down their business
- Scale operations to meet the growing demand for their product
Non-dilutive, No personal guarantees, Value-add beyond capital itself
Dexmat chose to work with Enduring Planet because of our mission alignment, climate focus, and easy-to-navigate, efficient, and founder-friendly process.
DexMat is regularly awarded grants to develop next-gen applications with Galvorn. They often have to make significant capital expenditures to deliver on their grants, only to be reimbursed once they've completed the work. Enduring Planet provided helpful working capital to enable Dexmat to execute its grants without slowing down growth.
"The Enduring Planet team is a highly-sophisticated, knowledgeable finance partner that can help climate tech startups stay on track financially and operationally via their Government Advance."
