Community System Solutions works with communities to secure funding and deliver solutions that integrate workforce training, economic development, climate resilience, and public infrastructure improvements. The organization’s work is centered on empowering communities and underrepresented voices to co-create strategies that drive real social and environmental impact. From workforce development programs and job training initiatives to sustainable infrastructure, their work is focused on building stronger, more resilient communities.
Their climate work centers on sustainable cities and communities and catalyzing climate action. To date, they have helped two dozen communities secure $40 million in grant funding to mitigate sea level rise and storm damage, improve air quality, strengthen sustainability in the local food supply chain, and train for the climate resilience jobs of the future.

Community System Solutions had previously used other loan products, but they were expensive and came from financial institutions that did not share their values. The cost of financing from Enduring Planet was far lower, and the two organizations shared a deep alignment around the importance of climate resilience work.
With support from Enduring Planet, Community System Solutions is sustaining its team and advancing community-led climate resilience with greater stability and focus.
